The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors’ focus is to contribute to the professional advancement of Company Directors and to foster leadership characteristics beneficial to companies, their stakeholders, and the community. GUIDANCE ON ENROLMENT

Entry Level
At the entry-level there are the ‘Ordinary Members’, ‘Associates’ and ‘Affiliates.’
The eligibility criteria for each of these categories are summarized below:


(i) Ordinary Member

A Form 20 Director of a Private or Public Sector Company, incorporated in Sri Lanka shall be eligible to join the Institute as an Ordinary Member.

(ii) An Associate of the Institute shall include any one of the following:

  • a Partner of a professional practice, recognised by the Institute and registered in Sri Lanka
  • a Sole Proprietor or a Partner of an incorporated/unincorporated business, registered in Sri Lanka
  • a Senior Manager of a Private or Public Company or Partnership incorporated in Sri Lanka, reporting directly to a Director, Partner, or Proprietor
  • an Academic at the level of Professor or equivalent

(iii) An Affiliate of the Institute shall include any one of the following:

  • A person interested in the affairs of the Institute and holding a managerial position and aspiring to be a
    Director.
  • Full-time students at a recognised university, or equivalent, with no management experience studying for a
    Postgraduate qualification.

MEMBERSHIP FEES

Enrolment fee

Ordinary Member  –  Rs. 25,000/=
Associate Member –  Rs. 20,000/=
Affiliate Member –  Rs. 15,000/=

This payment must be made to the Secretariat together with the application form.

Annual Subscription fee

Ordinary Member  –  Rs. 15,000/=
Associate Member –  Rs. 10,000/=
Affiliate Member –  Rs. 8,000/=

This is payable together with the enrolment fee and at the commencement of every financial year

The Institute reserves the right to alter the enrolment / subscription fees without notice.

Prospective Ordinary Members/Associates/Affiliates are requested to duly perfect the attached application form enclosing the Certificate of Incorporation/Registration and a copy of the Form 20 if a Director, to reach the Chief Executive Officer, at the above address, together with your cheque payable to ‘The Sri Lanka Institute of Directors’ for the following:

Ordinary Member  –  Rs. 40,000/=

 An Associate –  Rs. 30,000/=

An Affiliate –  Rs. 23,000/=
